Who I am:
I serve on ASTM Committee F27 (Snow Skiing), including F27.10 (binding test procedures), F27.30 (ski and snowboarding equipment), and F27.50 (shop procedures for retail and rental). I am currently on the subcommittee reviewing F1063-22 (functional inspections and adjustments of alpine ski/binding/boot systems) and F1064-21 (sampling and inspection of rental systems). Combined with over 40 years in the industry, including managing rental operations and working as a lead binding technician, I teach not only what the standards require but why. My views are my own and do not represent ASTM.
